There was an interruption to the DNS server at the German Network Information Centre (DENIC) tonight. This caused millions of failures when accessing German web services. Our domain, mpi-bremen.de, was also affected, as were most of our services. Most side effects have now been resolved. The cause of the failure is still unknown.

Heute Nacht kam es zu einer Störung des DNS-Servers beim Deutschen Netzinformationszentrum (DENIC). Dies führte zu Millionen von Ausfällen beim Zugriff auf deutsche Webdienste. Auch unsere Domain mpi-bremen.de war davon betroffen, ebenso wie die meisten unserer Dienste. Die meisten Auswirkungen sind inzwischen behoben. Die Ursache des Ausfalls ist noch unbekannt.
